OUR TEAM, OUR ETHOS

We are passionate about providing meaningful, personalised care to people from all walks of life to maintain their independence and promote quality of life. It's common knowledge staying active means better physical and mental health, yet healthcare does little to promote 'move more, eat less' until it's too late - the muscle is lost, the confidence is gone or the joint needs to be replaced.

We believe in early, accurate diagnosis and evidenced treatment in every realm of performance, whether you enjoy walks, skydiving, knitting or intimacy with a partner. We're medical doctors, meaning if your pain, weakness or loss of performance is actually something hormonal, neural, cognitive, cardiological, dietary/gastrological or the many non-musculoskeletal problems, Re:PAIR clinic has got you covered.

Dr Chris Ireland

BSc(Hons) MBBS(Hons) MRCGP(2013) MSc(SEM) PgC(US) BASEM

Dr. Chris Ireland is a leading UK musculoskeletal and sports medicine doctor with a specialist interest in regenerative rehabilitation, perioperative optimisation, and evidence-based metabolic care. He graduated with honours in 2006 and has worked in the NHS since, for over a decade as a non-operative MSK specialist, with a focus on delivering early, accurate diagnosis and minimally invasive interventions to help patients retain independence and avoid unnecessary surgery.

He is Director of The Re:PAIR Clinic on Harley Street, where he leads a multidisciplinary service focused on healthspan, functional longevity, metabolic optimisation and movement restoration. His approach combines state-of-the-art diagnostics with evidence-based therapies, drawing on innovations in orthobiologics, metabolic health, and advanced rehabilitation techniques.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr. Ireland has worked for the National Institute of Health Research as a lecturer in postgraduate evidence-based medicine methodology, helping train clinicians in critical appraisal and applied clinical trial design. He has lectured both nationally and internationally on metabolic medicine, perioperative conditioning, and the use of minimally invasive techniques to support soft tissue recovery, particularly in the ageing and injured athlete.

He is a member of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Medicine (BASEM) and continues to work in the NHS in urgent and community settings, supporting acute care avoidance through integrated, non-operative MSK pathways. Dr. Ireland has a particular interest in expanding regenerative, diagnostic, and rehabilitative options to all patients, not just elite performers, believing that movement is medicine for every stage of life.
