Subacromial Pain & Impingement
Pain can arise in the shoulder from underneath the bony roof (acromion) of the joint. This can be for numerous reasons, the ball may not sit well on the socket during movement, a traumatic compression may have irritated the soft tissues under the roof, the bursa may become inflammed or overuse may have changed how the cuff muscles move. Because of this wide variety of causes, at The RePAIR Clinic we’ve moved away from the old term ‘subacromial impingement’ and look to find out and treat what really is going on.
